Rapid Response: Help for Businesses and Workers Facing Cutbacks & Layoffs
Shared Work

The Shared Work Program is designed to help employers manage business cycles and seasonal adjustments while helping to spare their workers the hardships of full unemployment. The program allows employers to keep trained employees and avoid layoffs by letting workers receive partial Unemployment Insurance benefits while working reduced hours.

Layoffs and Reemployment

We can help businesses and employees affected by cutbacks and site closings by quickly coordinating services and providing immediate aid with a goal of quick reemployment. Our Rapid Response teams will work with you and your employees to identify resources and opportunities to help figure out the next steps.

Department of Labor Small Business Liaison

The Department of Labor's small business liaison is our initial primary contact for small businesses to contact with inquiries. They will help small businesses navigate the agency, hear concerns and help recommend solutions in concert with other agency staff and leaders.
