This is just one of the many no-cost services provided to any business in New York State. Businesses may also take advantage of Jobs Express, Governor Cuomo’s online jobs database, which currently lists almost 95,000 available positions. By using these services an average business in New York State could save tens of thousands of dollars each year.

Estimated Savings for Businesses:

  • Up to $12,000 on a staff-assisted recruitment event
  • Up to $20,000 on customized job fairs
  • Up to $6,000 per year on job postings

“I’ve heard from our business leaders and employers around the state that these recruitments and events are working for them – and at no cost to them,” said State Labor Commissioner Peter M. Rivera. “It’s a win win for jobseekers, for businesses and for our communities in every region of New York.”

A Business Services team member will help a business find a location to hold a recruitment event, set an agenda to ensure the time is used efficiently, advertise and market the event, identify the most qualified applicants to narrow the candidate pool, provide staffing and other support services and more. Events can be held at a worksite, an off-site location or in one of the 96 New York State Career Centers. This gives a business the flexibility to design an event that meets its unique needs.
