Albany, NY (July 11, 2016) -

The New York State Department of Labor today announced that its Ogdensburg Career Center will officially open for business at its new location on August 15, 2016. The new location, at 1031 Patterson Street, will offer the full range of services for businesses and job seekers that the Department currently provides. Minor renovations at the building are currently underway in order to tailor the space to best serve Ogdensburg residents.

“The Department of Labor remains committed to the City of Ogdensburg and looks forward to continuing to serve the workers and businesses here,” said Department of Labor Commissioner Roberta Reardon. “The people of Ogdensburg made it clear that they wanted our local office to stay within city limits, and we are pleased that we were able to find a suitable location that met everyone’s needs. Our mission is to help those who are looking for work to find it and I’m pleased that we will continue doing that here.”

The Department of Labor operates 96 Career Centers statewide. Each Career Center offers comprehensive services designed to help job seekers as they conduct their employment searches. Experienced career counselors staff each Center and can provide one-on-one or classroom-style assistance to those who need it.
