Amusement Device Detials

The New York State Department of Labor inspects all amusement devices on or before the scheduled start date of an event. Only those devices deemed safe are allowed to operate. Detailed inspection results for each individual device will be posted within two weeks of the event start date.

Each building or structure shall be equipped with an emergency lighting system conforming to the requirements of Part 1032, of Title 9 NYCRR Emergency Power and Lighting, of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, effective January 1, 1984. In addition, the emergency lighting system shall be automatically activated by the operation of the fire and smoke detection system required under subdivision 45-4.3(e) of this Subpart.

45-4.3(e)Fire and smoke detection system. Each building or structure shall be equipped with a fire and smoke detecting system conforming to the requirements of Section 1060.3, Part 1060, Title 9 NYCRR Fire-and Smoke-Detecting Systems, of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code, effective November 15, 1985. In addition, this system shall have the capability of activating the emergency lighting system required by subdivision 45-4.3(d) of this Subpart.
